Women's Ministries
IWFC Women’s Ministry is led by Jeanne Steinbrink
Women of all ages are welcome and all activities are open to members and non-members of IWFC. Through these activities the older or more spiritually mature women are encouraged to mentor the younger women or those “young” in the faith (Titus 2:1-5). See the calendar for specific dates and times of events.
The first aspect of the women’s ministry is to offer opportunities for women to grow in the knowledge of the Word through the teaching of sound doctrine (2 Tim 3:16-17). The current theme for the monthly women’s bible study is “Managing Your Moods.” These interactive bible teachings offer women scripturally sound guidance for successfully dealing with the various emotional issues they will encounter throughout their lives. Handouts are provided for use during the bible study and to take home for further individual study (2 Tim 2:15). These bible studies are held at the church at 9:00 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month.
The second aspect of the women’s ministry is to provide activities that promote strong relationships with other Christian women. This is accomplished through fellowship following the monthly bible studies, special “day trips” during the year, and an annual overnight women’s retreat. The 2011 retreat theme was “No More Excuses! Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone to Fulfill God’s Call on Your Life” (Isaiah 6:8).
Come join the fun as we learn and grow to become Proverbs 31 women!
